Fishing Report - 8.4.21

8/9/2021 | Author: Clare English | Category: Reports | 0 Comments

Flat Creek opened Sunday August 1st! Be considerate and respectful of other anglers and the fish, water temperatures are still hot and levels are low. Early mornings are good for skating Crane Flies with hatches starting around 10am. Look at throwing some hoppers around noon but be sure to wrap up your fishing around 2pm. South Fork flows dropped a bit and is still fishing very well. Hammer the banks and riffles and row up the side channels. Hopper dropper rigs, PMDs, and Stimulators should be productive. After the recent rain storms, the Snake is off color so keep it under the surface with nymphs and streamers. This rain is great for fire danger and will hopefully drop water temperatures. Have fun out there!
