Fishing Report - 7.21.21

7/21/2021 | Author: Clare English | Category: Reports | 0 Comments

Weather continues to be hot and dry but looking like we'll get a break in high temps later this week. Keep your fingers crossed for rain as well! Yellowstone National Park released a statement that rivers and streams are closed for fishing after 2pm. Lakes in YNP are still open all day long. The Snake and South Fork are both flowing high but fishing well. Hoppers, Stoneflies, and small flying ants should work well in the early mornings. Flows are much higher than they normally would be this time of year, be careful while floating and always wear a lifejacket. High alpine lakes are a great fishing option right now. Fish will be happier with less human activity and colder water temperatures. Try throwing JJ Special, Leeches in all colors, Sparkle Minnows and Lightning Bugs in our high alpine lakes.
