Fishing Report 8-17-2019
The Snake River is fishing well across the region from the Jackson lake Dam down to Sheep Gulch take-out with reports of fish caught on multiple top-water attractor patterns. Hoppers are in full swing as a variety of patterns are producing bigger fish for those more ambitious trout.
The streamer bite is an exciting way to change up your game. Reports of big fish on the chase for those bait fish.
Go to top water patterns are: Hi viz moose tail, Purple Haze, ParaWulff, Hippy Stompers and Grillo’s User Friendly.
Go to terrestrial patterns are Amy’s ant, Charlie Boy Hopper, Eerie Foam Cricket, Stealth ant, Foam Beetles.
Patterns we like for streamers are: Mini dungeons, Kreelux in orange and green, JJ specials and Butt Monkey!
Weather, water temperature and time of day play key roles in good days angling on the water.
