Fishing Report 7-30-2019

7/30/2019 | Author: Kris Walker | Category: Reports | 0 Comments

The main trunk of the Snake River in Wyoming has shaped up well for fishing as the summer flows continue to settle and clarity is at its best so far this year. If your wet-wading or on a boat covering water, the top water action has dominated the reports coming into the shop. Hopper imitations as well as Ant and Beetles are coming into play as the summer moves into August. Dry patterns to try are Purple Haze, Micro Purple Bruce, Simulators, Turks Tarantula and X-caddis. Target riffles, pools and cut banks to target feeding fish. If the top-water slows, try the streamer bite with a Butt Monkey, Double Bunny, Woolly buggers or Leech pattern. For nymph patterns try copper johns, pheasant tails, lightning bugs and ICUs. As always weather, time of day and water temperatures play key rolls in a successful day of fishing. Catch A Big One!
