Fischer Ranger 98 TI

A one ski quiver for Jackson?  The first time I took out the Fischer 98 TI ski I was impressed with the versatility and performance of the ski.  Two feet of snow at the Village made for some incredible mid-December skiing and the below zero start was brisk but had freeze dried the snow to perfect consistency.  The width and early rise in the tip made go nicely through the powder and crud and helped out my early December legs.  Through the open and in tight trees the ski turned nicely and had some snap coming out of the turn.  I wondered how they would do on hardpack and I put them to test on the lower Gros Ventre getting to the bottom on the hill.  I was kind of expecting a little washout on a 98 waist ski on terra firma manmade snow, but was pleasantly surprised that they carved well and didn’t slide out at all.  While it wasn’t an 80 waisted carving ski, it did pretty damn well.  I’m not going to go into tech talk, but the combination of Air Tech, Aero Shape and Titanal reinforcement seems to work.  I bought a pair.

Fischer remains for designing and building innovative, motivated, superb items that mirror our profound enthusiasm for the game of skiing. As an independent organization that has been under family possession since it was established in 1924.

Fischer was an awesome acumen and the absolute best chess player ever. What Jordon was to ball or Lance Armstrong was to bicycling, Fischer was to chess. On the off chance that you contrasted Fischer with Gretzky in hockey or Nolan Ryan in baseball you may at any rate do the man equity, yet your insignificant put-down appended to the demise of a splendid craftsman are base and debasing to you as a man.
